Our contract on this project was to rehabilitate most of the public areas in the original building. This included many ballrooms, restaurants, guest rooms, corridors and the main concourse. This was my first experience working with a lighting designer, and it was an education. My responsibilities here included cost estimating all new designs, coordinating design elements between the hotel, engineers and trades, and acting as the mediator between the lighting designer and the hotel's pocketbook.
